Littleton Youth Hockey Association

LHA offers a Travel program for each age division. These age divisions are Squirt (U10), Peewee (U12), Bantam (U14), Midget Minor (U16) and Midget Major (U18). This program is designed for players who have the desire and ability to play at a challenging level of competition. The tryout process for a Travel team begins in August for Midget Major, Midget Minor, Bantam and Peewee. Squirt tryouts are in late September following the leage mandated "Skills & Drills" period.

Currently, LHA is a Tier II Program, offering AA, A, B and C level teams who participate in the Colorado Competitive Youth Hockey League (CCYHL). LHA does not currently offer a Tier I program. However, LHA maintains a working relationship and supports the Colorado Thunderbirds AAA program, providing ice time, players and coaching. LHA does not offer “tournament only” teams. All LHA players and coaches are required to be registered with USA Hockey and the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA).

The fee to play Travel hockey is determined by the level of play. Registration fees include a certain number of practice/scrimmage/home game hours depending on level, league fees, league home game referee fees, and dry land.

Travel Team Note:

There are other costs associated with travel participation in addition to the initial registration fees. These additional costs include, but are not limited to: transportation, lodging, meals, tournament fees, coaches travel expenses, additional ice time, jersey rental, clothing and miscellaneous costs which are outside the scope of the basic registration fee and are the responsibility of the participant.
